We’re All Here in Time is a video poem about the increasing entropy of the universe and how it plays out in our daily lives. According to cosmological theory, our very existence emerged from microscopic nonuniformities in an otherwise smooth and uniform early universe. Nature’s laws ensure that the universe's complexity and potential for disorder increase with the passage of time, but never decrease.

Utilizing performance with retroreflective (hi-vis) materials to convey the early universe, 'We're All Here in Time' reflects on our cosmic origins, the laws of nature, and their intimate connection with everyday life. It is a celebration of the complexity of being. It acknowledges that the current systems we live under will crumble under the weight of their own entropy increase, serving as a warning to some and a word of reassurance to most.

This project was partially funded by the Textiles & Materiality Research Cluster at Concordia University’s Milieux Institute for Art, Culture & Technology, as well as InterAccess.
